I think a lot of #Boomers can't help but overreact to certain topics, like abortion and gun rights, and I shared a story about someone not trusting the establishment anymore and deciding to be more proactive. To give every benefit of the doubt they may have presumed I intended to be inflammatory, so I presumed I needed to be less offended too and moved on.

WILL NOT COMPLY When we were kids, many of us also thought that we’d inherited a fucked up world from our parents (how stupid they were, the people who raised us!) and were confident that we’d fix what they’d broken.
Ha! How’d THAT work out for us? 
But then we finally grew up a bit and understood that we’re all doing the best we can with what we have.
Our parents knew that the world could not be set right in a single generation, so they raised us to continue the battle. And now we’ve done the same for our kids who, I’m sure, will finally come to the same understanding.
But in the meantime, they need to stop the whining. We’re embarrassed on their behalf by their pride in their own immaturity.
