@benroyce I would be very sceptic with these videos at the moment (I can't read Japanese) because there's a #fakenews video about stranding #whales in Kamtchatka going viral, which is a real video but from 2023! latestly.com/quickly/social-vi

I don't know if it's the same. But I see the news about "whales washed ashore in Japan" *only* in tabloid media and only following social media posts on X etc. I would wait if serious media confirm it.
