Very sad to see that the Autograph software creators sold their company to Maxon. Autograph was the premium compositing app for Linux, and was created by the original authors of Natron. Maxon is now killing the product. I mean, good for the devs and their payout, but not so good for the Linux community, since Maxon doesn't support Linux anyway in any of their products.

G'MIC is a free and open-source framework for image processing. It defines a script language that allows the creation of complex macros. G'MIC plugins are included in Natron as nodes.
There are plenty of video editing and compositing applications that support the OpenFX (OFX) standard.
