Out of Control :laravel: 🇨🇦<p>Hey <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mas.to/@obsidian" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>obsidian</span></a></span>, I am in Canada. I chose obsidian a couple of years ago because it is, in my opinion, the best noting taking app around! What I only learned this week: Obsidian is based in Canada!! </p><p>Anyone looking to switch from some American noting taking app, look no further! </p><p><a href="https://phpc.social/tags/buycanadian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>buycanadian</span></a> <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/elbowsup" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elbowsup</span></a> <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/boycottusa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>boycottusa</span></a> <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/notphp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>notphp</span></a> <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>obsidian</span></a></p>
kepano<p>currently <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Obsidian</span></a> for Android requires full file access permissions because it's necessary for certain third-party sync tools and interoperability — but some users prefer narrower permissions</p><p>in an upcoming version we're adding this option, do the tradeoffs make sense here?</p>
Lou Plummer 💖<p>I am a fan of using Obsidian sync because it lets me have different settings on each device where I use the app, but I recently found out that if you use Syncthing for DIY syncing, you can omit the .obsidian folder, where all the settings are kept and get the same result. <a href="https://social.lol/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Obsidian</span></a> <a href="https://social.lol/tags/ObsidianMD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ObsidianMD</span></a> <a href="https://social.lol/tags/PKM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PKM</span></a></p>

a<p>I'm wondering if there is some kind of app to store data for courses, that is, lectures, videos, etc. Currently I'm using <a class="hashtag" href="https://91268476.xyz/collections/tags/obsidian" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#obsidian</a>, but adding a few gigs of video lectures will probably be a bit too much for something... Lou Plummer 💖<p>There are so many ways to get web content into Obsidian - the official web clipper, Slurp, Extract URL Content, ReadItLater, MarkDownload, Plugins for Pocket and Instapaper, Apple Shortcuts. Wesley<p>I bought a Quo Vadis Life Journal!</p><p>I have been thinking about how to enhance my workflow lately. I currently take what you could call a "bullet-journal-lite" approach</p><p>Back in 2016 I understood the basics of the system, but never ventured past that</p><p>It's become stale, and I've recently become confused with how to integrate my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Obsidian</span></a> workflow with BuJo. I need a revamp</p><p>So I bought a new notebook.
