If/when you read my book, will you leave me a review?

I don't expect you to kiss my arse, just be honest and write a few words.

Amazon reviews are influential (I don't make the rules!) and you just need an account, not to have bought it from there. But a review anywhere would be so appreciated.

Authors work hard to get books out there, but we cannot do it without readers. I am very grateful for all your support.

#ScribesAndMakers 7/26: Talk about the book that got the fewest votes in yesterday's poll, or share something about all three.

All three are books that have shaped my way of writing fantasy, which is why I chose them. They are also classic to me in a way (aka "old").

"Camber of Culdi" is classic high fantasy, set in a world that looks a lot like Wales. It's the first in a large series.

It focuses on a clash between magic and religion, with magic losing eventually. Maybe.

#PennedPossibilities 737.001 — Since Spooky Panda is putting Paws on tonight's question, what paws would your MC put on as a spirit animal or in a dream?

Lucky would run on orc paws in a dream, since that's who he played last in World of Warcraft.

Heather would put on wolf paws - she is a Wolf Shifter, she can do it for real, and she often dreams about running wild.

Not that she can let Lucky know about that... he won't believe her.

A Wolf's Mate, Wolves of the South 9

Wie sammelst und ordnest du Material? Kopf, Zettelkasten, Schuhkarton, Datenbank?

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Wrote 2k words for Lucky this morning, taking them through the showdown and into cleaning up afterwards - with a bit of tension remaining.

Very happy about how the words almost wrote themselves.

I really want to get Wolves 9 out in August - wish me luck, especially with the cover designer.

Hope to finish the story this weekend.

#WordWeavers 7/25 Who's the hardest character you've ever written and why?

I believe that's Marik, the MC of Dragon Pawn (that I still need to finish).

He lost everything when the firebeasts invaded the continent he lived on - and that was a lot. He was the heir of the chieftain, after all.

And so he tried to save the remaining members of his tribe, losing them one after the other. The story is about finding new hope and rebuilding.

Just can't afford the cover.

Got any description writing advice to share? My own would be not to describe everything in the scene. Only what’s necessary. There are some books I absolutely love but I do tend to skim through the overly descriptive parts. I just don’t have the energy.
