Can we get a mouse with magsafe? Many of us use our laptops on small tables that we have to move back and forth constantly, meaning that Bluetooth mice constantly end up flying and crashing on the floor. A magsafe ring on the bottom, paired with a magsafe ring on the table, would allow us to snap it securely to the table when not in use. It could even be used for charging the mouse as well. Thank you.

Yesterday I posted about installing #FreeBSD to an old #Chromebook.

It works.

It's faster than #ChromeOS and #Fedora were.

It's got an inconvenient drawback (at the moment) in that (I believe) #ACPI isn't properly implemented in the custom #BIOS I had to install, which means when I close the lid and the computer suspends, it won't come back alive without a hard reset.

If anyone knows of a work-around for this, I'd greatly appreciate the information. If not, I may have to find a lighter-weight #Linux to install.

#Debian would do the job, after I streamline and de-clutter it.. but, again, if anyone has recommends regarding a lightweight linux distro for this little machine, I would greatly appreciate it.

rough draft - google chat - maybe an option to "hide/collapse" an individual message ?

google chat - you're really good!

but - can we give users the ability - if they *want* to be able to delete a *recieved* message on their end? I myself wouldn't need it, but I feel like maybe, it could help adoption of Google chat for communication as,

fictional observer: what

me: like, what if I type something that maybe the other person doesn't want to see

currently, they *can't* delete or even like *hide* a received message

fictional observer: ok so?

me: so, I think they should have an option to maybe long press and I guess honestly, i'd be ok with at least like an option to like "collapse" so that its sort of hidden from view or "collapse with password" so that it's hidden and requires them to type a password to view it

I mean, the delete option would be fine as well, its just, with the ability to collapse with pin code or something, then at least like, they would be able to kinda get it out of view without *having* to delete it if they don't want to fully delete it. so then maybe *both* options.

and then on the senders end, maybe it could theoretically say "person x deleted this message on their end" while still showing the message for the sender. or maybe it *wouldn't* say that.

fictional observer: but don't you love Google chat how it has the edit button that can be used forever

me: yes! I Do! that is what I appreciate so much about Google chat, and Microsoft teams too!

fictional observer: so why do you want a delete option for the receiver of a message

me: because it just feels like, I want to give the receiver the option to hide the message if they want. so maybe then even *instead* of having a delete function right now, they could just add a "hide" option which would collapse the message, whereby they could tap it and see an "unhide" button

i'm getting tired of typing about this for the moment but i'm gonna press post
