Today, #Optus blocked my phone because they've decided it cannot make 4G emergency calls.

I'm 95% sure it can. I've never actually tried. But because it's European and various international technical reasons, they've caught it up in their "Doesn't support VoLTE" dragnet, despite every actual test I've been able to do has shown it does.
