also in #macOS #homebrew (and also available for #linux and #windows; including a #raspi image) is #Companion which is part of a family of tools for interacting with your computers using the #StreamDeck devices but get this — Companion can virtualize one and give you a panel you can plumb up to other software and peripherals like pedals and knob/dials from the looks of it.

#broadcasters, #streamers and people that lead seminars or workshops may be way into it. video: youtu.be/Xn95LuF6x6I

I have just discovered a new way to torture Windows users.

Apparently, if “Sticky Keys” is enabled from the login screen, the effect will persist throughout the rest of the system.

However, since they were enabled there, neither the Settings app nor the Control Panel detect that it’s active, making it impossible to disable it from anywhere other than the login screen.

I spent some time trying to understand what was going on with my work computer today.

With the #Windows 11 update I got yesterday the taskbar became usable again without using Explorer Patcher: No grouping windows together and always show text, not just the icon.

Also I can now show just the windows from that screen in the taskbar (which Explorer Patcher could not do I think) ... so Windows 11 catches up to the first Kubuntu version I used in 2006.
