@dlharmon I haven't had great experiences with Zynq. The IP integrator is basically mandatory and just a pain to use.

Currently I use STM32H7 + Artix/Kintex parts, although I picked up some i.mx RT 1170's recently to play with. Haven't done a board for them yet but they seem cool: dual core M4 and M7 up to 1 GHz, hardware crypto and RNG, dual gig-e plus a 10/100 mac, 2 MB of internal ram, hyperram and external sdram support.

Basically the peripheral set you'd expect from a decent embedded apps processor but with an M7 instead of an A series CPU (so much simpler to use bare metal).
