Trump didn’t win this election. Kamala lost it. The Democrats lost it. Neoliberalism lost it.
Turns out if you’re on team moderate social injustice and your opponent is team total social injustice, you’re playing the social injustice game with the people who wrote the damn book. Who did you think was going to fucking win?

Fuck you if you’re happy with billionaires and trillion-dollar corporations as long as you get work for them and take home your six-figure salaries and stock options. Fuck you if you’re fine with Brown people on the other side of the world getting slaughtered in a genocide with your tax dollars as long as you’re safe. Fuck you if you vilify anti-fascists and “the far left” as “just as bad as…” (2/13)
And some of you have the gall – the fucking gall – to blame this on anyone and everyone else when it was you assholes that perpetuated the myth that capitalism and democracy were somehow complementary instead of diametrically opposed. When it was you who made sure that any actual alternative – any alternative that might have negatively impacted your own fucking wallets – didn’t have a hope in hell of being presented to the people. @double_virgule@ioc.exchange@aral If your argument is that capitalism in America is a bad system and we need to tax the billionaires to pieces and have workers rights, and stop supporting Israel, there are plenty of us here who agree with you.
I work for a major telecommunications company in Georgia not because I like it, but because they were hiring and I need to feed my family.
I call my senators. I write my congresspeople. I've been vocally against supporting Israel for years, ever since I escaped the bizarre cult that thinks America has to support Israel so Jesus will come back.
But none of it seems to do anything. What else can I do? Serious question.

The system needs relentless, organised opposition.

It's likely not going to work, but it's about individual choices, having recognised this, what any of us do about it. Don't worry about whether *you* can fix it, but realise you can help or hinder through the choices you make.
Meanwhile, don't judge yourself too harshly, and don't judge others for their choices - everyone is doing their best, even Trump.

@double_virgule organize your local community. Build a better world locally. Set an example for others to build community elsewhere.
Bring workers together. Develop plans to disrupt the messaging from the billionaires -- nearly all media -- that serves to divide us against each other and make our bubbles of comfort ever smaller.
