It’s self-styled “highly #masculine” men.
42% of American #men rate themselves as “highly masculine.” And those who vote are the ones who account for the huge gender gap in voting. Black and Hispanic men are also more likely to rate themselves as “highly masculine” than White men are.
Whether or to what extent plays out in the #election is something is not something I know. But #Harris is under-performing #Biden in locations that might suggest that she is getting less support from young Black Americans than Biden had in 2020. White men are overwhelmingly voting Republican, but there may be a smaller, but real, gender gap among Black Americans.
The night is still young. And if it turns out I am totally wrong in my speculation, it won’t be the first time today.
