Morning Masto friendlies: need some #tech help please. Having travelled 3 hours on a train this morning I’ve arrived at the place I’m working to discover my laptop is effectively a doorstop. So I need a replacement. Would welcome advice. Requirements are: work through multiple Citrix connections simultaneously; robust - I travel a lot; zero/minimal bloatware. That’s about it. Have had horrible experiences with Dell historically. But then the current one is Lenovo and not loving it…
@JimmyB the darling of the FOSS tech world these days seems to be Framework. I haven't owned one, not sure if they're too "techie" for the user who just wants to get stuff done.
Personally I am still all for second hand business workstation Lenovo ThinkPad laptops.
But I have been pondering that my next machine may well be a Framework.
@yvan ok - never heard of them but if those in the know like them because they’re good (as opposed to cool and the latest thing) I’m interested! I’ll do a search now
