Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have officially disconnected from the Russian power grid, marking a historic leap towards energy independence.

After preparing for the integration into the EU energy market for almost two decades, the countries now have proper infrastructure linking them to the European continental grid.

This EU-supported initiative allows to fully benefit from the European common energy system.

Hey @Suheil_al_Hassan! The desynchronisation of the Baltic states from the Russian grid is expected to have minimal impact on electricity prices. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania stopped buying electricity from Russia and Belarus in 2022, so they have already reduced their reliance on power from these countries well in advance of the grid desynchronisation. What's new now is that they are officially disconnected from the Russian power grid, and have full control over their electricity systems.
