@gorplop @wolf480pl Are you sure that's the die and not a heat spreader attached to it?

Flip chip BGAs are a thing, but they normally either have a heat spreader (which is what looks like here) or a clearly visible square die. The color also looks like tin plating on something, it's not blue enough to be silicon.
