I think the idiot tech bros that have taken control of the US are purposefully choosing to be the villein from every sci-fi narrative from the past 100 years.
I am a US citizen. I vote. I don't feel like I do enough activism or work toward fixing our US problems, but I'm open to suggestion.
It looks like we've abandoned all of our allies. Or, at least our government has, which does represent the people of the US as far as the people of the US are largely ignorant and uneducated with respect to politics and economics.
I'm working on educating other US citizens that I am in contact with, and I'm attempting to meet and discuss with those who voted for Trump and who might still believe that the US is making good decisions under Trump.
I know a lot of US citizens are really scared right now.
@neptune22222 I understand how feel all too well, living in Germany where we also have literal Nazis on the rise at the moment. I wish educating was all it took, but I'm afraid a huge number of people simply *want* to be Nazis... Not much of a consolation, but: Keep fighting for a change to something better.
