And before your kneejerk, pro 'sunbleached beaches' brainwashing kicks in, see that this weather can be just what you need. Not for ever, it soon tips into depressing, but for a while and from time to time
It tells you not to race around, to slow the self-gratification, to tread softly, look inwardly, be with loved ones, appreciate your own company, and stop running away. It removes external obligations and public performance. The world and the madness quietens. It's the opposite of reactionary social media. The opposite of Tik Tok or Twitter. The opposite of consumerism. The opposite of entitled tourism. It breeds introspection. I reckon there are parts of the US that could really benefit from Welsh drizzle. Hey, I reckon Israel could use several months of it
But, more honestly.. the sweet spot is probably about 3 or 4 days once a fortnight, not the months that Wales is capable of. If it defaults to that, you'll soon hear me complaining
