My local library is holding a workshop teaching how to make fresh mozzarella cheese from milk next week. And I am going to be so there!

Related: I was discussing differences in home life between the USA and South America once with someone in Ecuador and mentioned I sometimes make beer, which surprised him greatly – as he didn't even know it was possible to make beer at home. But it turned out many Ecuadorian families make fresh cheese weekly, something few here do.

"Did you know that libraries are buying AI generated books now?

- Yes, yes I did.

"But why? What's the point of them? Who's going to read that rubbish?"

- Those books are not for reading.

"What are they there for then?"

- The apocalypse.

"Huh?"

- Libraries are places where people can gather in safety. And what do people need in a disaster or pandemic?

"Food? Shelter?"

- Toilet paper. Those AI books are toilet paper. The other stuff is for reading while you go.
