@Priyajsridhar #writephant 4. how are you going to celebrate Pride or if not celebrating Pride, show support for LGBTQ+ people under personal or legislative attacks?

I usually put my books on sale for the month, and then donate the proceeds to an Australian LGBTQ charity (last year was the Equality Project). I’ve been too snarled up in my current WIP to organise the sale, but I will still donate the June proceeds.

Well, I live in a little country town, so it’s be nice if we had *any* pride events or acknowledgement (this is not fair, the local youth orgs do great work, but if you’re an adult, you’re out of luck).

Actually, I should bring this up at our community centre at the next meeting, they usually do something to acknowledge other occasions eg a movie night for Reconciliation Week, so they could do some small thing.

Pride started from a riot, yet we see people divided (even hateful) under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. How would your favorite original character react to this infighting?

Magrete, a flair bartender (& bruja/witch) in Vegas, tries to talk everyone down, using skills honed by dealing with rejected drunks.

If that fails, she'd magic up a little herbal "everyone get along" spell, add it to craft beer, and offer it free.

My FAVOURITE? Tough pick for Tuesday morning

I think he would be quite confrontational towards hateful attitudes, in a very aggressively flirty kind of way…(he’s got soldiers backing him up, he can risk it)

Picking a favorite would be a bad idea. But the current character I'm working with would be super annoyed. And probably smacking the Anti-Semites in the queer crowd asking, "What the fuck is wrong with you?" #Writephant

@adriabailton @wendypalmer On the other hand, I prefer that when it exists, it affirms it is safe in that present to be LGBTQ+. Target backpedaling made me feel unsafe. #Writephant

The parades, mostly (and companies whacking a rainbow on everything).

Today I am *joyful*. I got the all clear on my knee last Thursday, BUT today was my first day back at Tang Soo Do class. In A Month. I knocked off a bunch of rust--and it felt good!
